It is that time of year again.    The holiday season begins in earnest and those of us who are in the U.S. celebrate Thanksgiving – a time where we remember the founding of our country.

It is also the time where we start thinking about Christmas shopping and sharing the joy of gift giving with our loved ones.

For some of us, it is a time of reflection as we close out the year and look forward to the new year.

For me, personally, all of those things hold true.    During Thanksgiving, I like to think of all of the things in my life that I am grateful for – my health, my home, my family and so much more.    I am grateful to have the opportunity to share my art with the world and I am thankful for the appreciation that I receive.

The day after Thanksgiving is Black Friday.  The Monday after that is Cyber Monday.   Both of those can be great fun.

However the next Tuesday, December 3rd this year, is Giving Tuesday.    It is the perfect opportunity for those of you seeking tax deductions to make final donations to charities like Hope and Anchor Opera.   It is a world wide day where charities are the focus.

There are lots of worthy charities out there – but as a new 501(c)3 non-profit, we are a company where you can immediately see your charitable donations at work as it helps fund our first concerts and productions.   Your dollars directly pay for production costs, artist salaries and so much more.    We cannot do it without you.

So this year, on giving Tuesday, please keep Hope and Anchor Opera at the front of your mind and consider making a donation of any size.     Your support truly makes us grateful.
